Gift Giving: When giving gifts to Japanese guests, make sure they are brightly wrapped.

Business Card Etiquette: When receiving a business card from a Japanese person, be sure to accept it with both hands, look at it a long time, and act impressed. Then put it in a small holder that is used exclusively for business cards. Do not take a business card holder out of, or put it back in, a back pocket. It is not polite to sit on a business card.

The Bow: When greeting a Japanese person, be sure to bow. When bowing, be sure to bow as long and as low as they do.

Personal Space: Be sure and allow the Japanese their personal space. Don't hug them or pat them on the back.
